CIMSPA endorses Newman University sport degree

CIMSPA has endorsed BA (Hons) Sport Development with Coaching at Newman University, Birmingham.

The BA (Hons) Sport Development with Coaching degree endorsement is recognised across the sector, and the course has been commended against two industry standards. Students completing the degree will officially meet the requirements of the ‘Aspiring Manager’ and ‘Working in a Community Environment’ professional standards.

Professional standards are employer-led guidelines for every job role in the sport and physical activity sector which enable great career pathways for our entire workforce.

Richard Millard, Vice Chair of the Sport and Physical Activity Sector Professional Development Board at CIMSPA commented: “We congratulate Newman University in achieving CIMPA endorsement for their Sports Development with Coaching degree. We are delighted to see the employer developed professional standards have been included, enabling the development of work ready graduates.”
