‘Stronger Together’ - CIMSPA launches digital hub to support the sector during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis

The Chartered Institute for the Management for Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) has launched ‘Stronger Together’ - a new digital hub to provide sector-wide support for individuals and businesses during the coronavirus crisis - and is calling on industry suppliers to come forward with offers of support.

The hub, located on the CIMSPA website at www.cimspa.co.uk/coronavirus, brings together information, advice and practical support for all those working in sport and physical activity who have been impacted by the crisis and is freely available to anyone working in the sector.

With content tailored to individual workers, businesses and the sector as a whole, the Stronger Together hub provides a single destination for the sector to access a range of useful information and resources, including:

  • For individuals: advice on financial and legal support, and resources for professional development, mental health and wellbeing.
  • For businesses: information on Government and financial support.
  • For the sector: updates on how CIMSPA is working with others including Sport England, ukactive, Community Leisure UK and DCMS to ensure the sector receives the support it needs.

The Stronger Together hub already includes generous offers of support and free resources from several CIMSPA partners, including Optimum Nutrition, My PT Hub and Future Fit training.

CIMSPA is now inviting other suppliers, training providers and others within the sector to come forward with any offers and become an official CIMSPA Stronger Together supporter. CIMSPA is especially interested to hear from organisations that can offer online CPD, video masterclasses, webinars, ebooks and access to digital platforms and support systems.

Tara Dillon, CEO of CIMSPA, commented:

“This is a time for the whole sector to come together and support each other. We are an incredibly adaptable and innovative collective of people and organisations and I know that, by working together, we can help each other to emerge from this crisis in a strong position.

“Stronger Together is our way of harnessing the expertise, knowledge and resources of the wider sector, making it available to everyone who needs it.”
