Three degrees at University of Huddersfield endorsed

CIMSPA endorses degrees across nutrition, physical education, and exercise science

CIMSPA Higher Education partner the University of Huddersfield has had three sport undergraduate programmes endorsed against the sport and physical activity sector’s professional standards framework.

They reflect their commitment to equipping students with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to effectively transition into roles in the sector.

Our professional standards enable students to gain industry recognised standards and qualifications, including Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer and Working with People with Long-Term Conditions. All are recognised by major employers in the sector aligned to each degree Huddersfield offers.

Dr Kevin Kipling, Senior lecturer in Sport, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at the University of Huddersfield said: “Having our degrees endorsed by CIMSPA gives University of Huddersfield students the opportunity to gain industry recognised qualifications and practical employer focused skill sets required to go onto meaningful employment in the sport and physical activity sector during their course and upon graduation.”

Helen Hiley, Education Officer for Higher Education at CIMSPA, said: “We are pleased to endorse three degrees from the University of Huddersfield. Having their degrees endorsed assures students that their degrees are professionally recognised by the sector they want to work in. Our endorsement will enhance the reputation of the University of Huddersfield degrees and the employability of their sport and physical activity sector-related graduates.”

You can also apply for student membership of CIMSPA. This enables you to access e-learning, guest lectures, digital newsletters and magazines, and work placement, volunteering and job opportunities.

On successful completion of the course, you’ll be eligible to apply for CIMSPA graduate membership.
