From October this year (2024), employers will face an enhanced legal duty to take proactive measures in preventing sexual harassment in the workplace. It’s no longer enough to simply have a policy in place; employers must ensure their policies are up to date, practical, and that all employees are regularly trained on acceptable workplace behaviour.
With this in mind, CIMSPA has partnered with Knights to offer our members a free training session to help ensure you and your business are prepared for these changes. Knights Professional Services Limited is the UK’s largest regional legal services provider, with over 1,200 colleagues nationally, and recognition as one of the top 50 legal businesses in the country, Knights is well-equipped to guide us through these important changes.
This training session will cover:
- Understanding bullying, harassment, discrimination, and victimisation in the workplace.
- Setting expectations for employee behaviour and effective management.
- Strategies for preventing complaints.
- The correct process for addressing complaints while avoiding victimisation.
- The consequences of failing to meet these standards.
- An interactive quiz where attendees will discuss and decide if certain scenarios constitute harassment.
- There will be time at the end of the session for any questions or discussion points you may have.
Don’t miss this exclusive session! Join us for an invaluable opportunity to gain direct access to an employment law specialist from Knights. This session will provide essential advice and guidance on the significant legislative changes coming into effect on 26th October 2024. Attendees will have the unique chance to ask questions and receive expert insight tailored to help you navigate the new regulations confidently.
