Chris Chatten elected as CIMSPA trustee

CIMSPA’s 3rd annual general meeting took place at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough University on Thursday 11 February 2016

This included a ballot for a vacancy on the board of trustees, and we are pleased to announce that Chris Chatten FCIMSPA, club and competition manager with the Rugby Football League, has been elected by the membership to the position of CIMSPA trustee.

Speaking about his election, Chris said: “I would like to thank the membership for giving me the privilege of being a trustee. I am truly thrilled and excited to have been elected to this role at what is a really key time for the institute, particularly with the launch of the government’s new sports strategy and CIMSPA’s role in its delivery. I will do my best to address the views of members, and I am looking forward to working with fellow trustees and the CIMSPA staff team.”

Tara Dillon, CIMSPA CEO also commented: “I’d like to congratulate Chris on his election and repeat his message that this is both an important and exciting time for our chartered institute, and our elected representatives play a vital role in keeping the board connected to the wider membership”.

As an elected trustee, Chris will join the board for up to three years.
