CIMSPA and FitPro team up with fitness insurance offer

CIMSPA and FitPro have teamed up to offer CIMSPA members a comprehensive range of insurance products underwritten by AVIVA.

The insurance provided by FitPro can be accessed by all qualifying members, but is designed specifically to appeal to fitness and exercise professionals – from those working in conventional gym environments through to yoga, pilates and exercise to music instructors.

Speaking about the insurance product launch, Tara Dillon, CIMSPA CEO said: “I’m delighted to be launching this new partnership with FitPro.

“Giving our membership this insurance option completes our offer to exercise and fitness professionals – we can now provide a complete package of insurance cover, recognition by their sector’s chartered professional body and an expanding programme of CPD options.

“There’s no stopping here though – we’re working hard to extend our fitness professionals’ recognition pathway to give the ambitious a route to chartered status within the sport, fitness and activity sector.”

Brent Hallo, CEO of FitPro, commented: “It’s clear that CIMSPA is the preferred organisation to lead industry recognition of learning and structuring of continuing professional development. As an FCA member we aspire to the highest standards, so FitPro is proud to be both supporting the CIMSPA team and looking forward to contributing beyond the provision of the best insurance in the business.”

On the detail of the new partnership, Darren Orton, FitPro’s Insurance expert said: “FitPro’s pedigree in providing customers with the best insurance available in the UK is well known. We are excited to assist CIMSPA by providing this insurance offer, backed by AVIVA as the No 1 insurer in the UK. It completes a wonderful offering which is clearly the path forward for exercise professionals seeking recognition and advancement.”
