Halo Leisure sign CIMSPA partnership
The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity’s network in the West of England and Wales took a big step forwards recently after the signing of a new partnership with social enterprise and leading leisure trust Halo Leisure.
Halo Leisure, which operates 20 facilities across Bridgend County, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Wiltshire on a not-for-profit basis, have joined as CIMSPA employer partners.
CIMSPA employer partners commit to both only using training providers and training products which have been verified by the sector’s chartered professional body and to play their part in raising workforce skills standards.
The initial phase of the partnership will see the organisation’s gym staff move into CIMSPA membership streams for exercise and fitness professionals, with a second phase planned to transition relevant staff from the charity’s management team into membership.
Scott Rolfe, Halo Leisure CEO, welcomed the new partnership: “Our mission is to create healthier communities and having the backup from CIMSPA in terms of leadership, support and empowerment is key to helping us achieve this. Halo’s team of exercise and fitness professionals will have their passion and experience matched with national recognition from CIMSPA. We look forward to developing our workforce through CIMSPA’s programme of training, events and CPD.”
