Join our community sport webinar

Our Professional Development Committee (PDC) for Community Sport will talk about all things professional standards.

Members, partners and NGBs are invited to join us on 24 February between 9.30-10.30am to learn about the review of the Coach, Assistant Coach, Working in the Community and Working with Children professional standards.

Andy Heald (Co-Chair of Community Sport PDC) and Alex Pitts (National Partnerships Manager and Lead Safeguarding Officer at British Blind Sport) will share key focus group dates and answer any questions you might have about these professional standards or the process as a whole.

The webinar will be hosted on Zoom and Miro.

As part of CIMSPA’s governance structure there are four industry specific committees that take responsibility for driving the direction and work on the professional standards within that area.

There are four Professional Development Committee’s in-line with the industries that make up the sport and physical activity sector:

• Exercise and fitness
• Leisure operations
• Professional sport
• Community sport

The committees are directly responsible to the Professional Development Board, who monitor and review their work on behalf of the CIMSPA Board of Trustees.
