Pool Plant Operative Professional Standard consultation now open

The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) has today started an open consultation on a forthcoming sector professional standard for the role of pool plant operative.

CIMSPA is calling on organisations who manage swimming pool services, as well as other experts, to offer general feedback on the standard’s content, and also to input on the skills needed for the specific technical functions of pool plant operation.

The rollout of the finished standard will take place later this year. Employers will then have a single point of reference to standardise the recruitment, training and professional development of these technical roles.
