CIMSPA consultancy register

CIMSPA registered consultants scheme

CIMSPA has for some time provided a point of contact for organisations wanting to access specialised services and general consultancy. CIMSPA is developing a new Register of consultants/consultancies that CIMSPA can signpost any enquiries to, and has appointed Leisure-net to manage the Register on its behalf.

In developing the register CIMSPA is looking to facilitate consultancy expertise across the full spectrum of its now broader area of remit.

CIMSPA is looking to register consultants with expertise in:

  • Change management
  • Environmental and energy management
  • Health and Safety:
    • Dry
    • Wet
    • Event
    • Expert witness
    • Systems and process
  • Building design
  • Pool plant technical
  • Contract tenders and monitoring
  • Procurement
  • Options appraisals
  • Health
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Swim schemes
  • Fitness
  • Operational Management
  • Funding streams
  • Research
  • Facility planning
  • Other areas consistent with the breadth of CIMSPA’s remit in Sport and Physical Activity

The Register is open to any consultancy at a subscription rate of £500 plus VAT per annum (all fees payable to CIMSPA), subject to approval. Pro rata fees will be charged from the date of admission to the register until the following 31 December following which annual subscriptions shall fall due each 1 January.

The consultancies would provide CIMSPA (via Leisure-net) with the following information:

  • Name of company
  • Name and contact details of main contact
  • Specialist areas of expertise
  • Names and details of 3 reference clients that Leisure-net will approach for business references

Any enquiries to CIMSPA (via Leisure-net) would be cross referenced with this information and any consultancies with the relevant expertise would have their contact details passed on to the enquirer within 5 working days.

CIMSPA (via Leisure-net) will make it clear to any enquirer that they are only signposting possible consultancies, and that CIMSPA are not endorsing or recommending in any way.

If more than one consultancy matches an enquirer’s requirements, then details of all appropriately qualified consultancies will be passed on.
