The mission of the plan is to:
- Grow the attractiveness of working in the sport and physical activity sector in Oxfordshire and ensure everyone has a safe and excellent experience
- Improve career pathways for people moving into the sector from all entry points – schools, further education, higher education, apprenticeships, vocational training pathways and career changers

Local skills accountability board
The Oxfordshire sport and physical activity sector local skills accountability board (LSAB) is a collaboration between employers, education providers and other skills and sector partners.
It is managed by the sector’s chartered professional body – CIMSPA. The project is supported and funded by Sport England.
The board’s work is now centered on delivering its sport and physical activity sector local skills plan – Oxfordshire: 2025-2028.
