Marc Woods, Chair of CIMSPAs Board of Trustees has welcomed the new strategy from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, Get Active: A Strategy for the future of sport and physical activity.

You can see Marc speaking about the strategy, what it means for our sector workforce and for CIMSPA here.

We’re delighted that Get Active highlights the work that CIMSPA has been commissioned to lead on the Workforce Governance and National Workforce Registration Scheme pilot project. We are also pleased to see that the strategy supports our local skills delivery work where we are supporting employers and education partners to respond to local skills needs.

Get Active illustrates the vital role that the people working in our sector has on increasing participation, supporting economic and social development, and helping to deliver health and wellbeing outcomes.
