Core Benefits

Use of CIMSPA HE Partner logo Recognition of your institution’s partnership with the sport and physical activity sector’s chartered professional body, of our shared ambitions of building employability benchmarks for graduates and of your institution’s contribution to working towards a finished HE approved provider product.
CIMSPA support Dedicated CIMSPA representative for remote support and bi-annual contact.
Employer engagement Facilitated introductions and relationship management with local CIMSPA employer partners – information on graduate work placements, volunteering and internships.
CIMSPA annual conference 50% discount for 2 delegates.
Sector intelligence Access to the annual CIMSPA labour market intelligence report.
HE lecturer discounts 20% discount on first-year CIMSPA membership for HE lecturers**.
CIMSPA Academy Access to the CIMSPA Academy eLearning platform. HE Partners can make specific online learning compulsory for students. (additional charges will apply).
Guest lecturer for associated courses CIMSPA will provide an annual guest lecturer for each associated course, with a focus on delivering employability-related content.
Magazine and email bulletins 2 x print copies of the CIMSPA membership magazine. S&PA Professional***, plus quarterly HE partnership bulletin update.

Benefits to be developed through the pilot scheme’s lifespan

Early access HE partners will be offered priority access to the final CIMSPA approved provider HE partnership, for the academic year starting Autumn 2019.
Approved provider consultation HE partners will be engaged with and consulted on the development of the CIMSPA approved provider HE partnership throughout the pilot scheme.
Apprenticeships development
  • “A seat at the table” HE partners will play a central role in the development of degree apprenticeships for the sector.
  • Engagement with employers and stakeholders to create HE apprenticeship standards.
Professional standards Consultation on the professional standards landscape now being created by CIMSPA, employers and partners.
HE-focused CIMSPA products

Consultation on and development input into:

  • A specific CIMSPA membership for HE lecturers.
  • Higher education focused conferences, networking events etc.
Media profile and recognition
  • CIMSPA will celebrate HE partners and the contribution they are making towards raising employability potential for their students via this pilot scheme.
  • HE partners and their associated courses will be listed in a directory on www.cimspa.co.uk

For the 12 participating institutions, the HE partnership logo provides recognition of their partnership with the sport and physical activity sector’s chartered professional body. Once the pilot programme has been successfully completed, a new visual identity will be developed for the final CIMSPA approved provider programme, to denote individual degree programme endorsement.
