University of Bolton

The University of Bolton’s School of Sport and Biological Sciences is committed to helping its students develop personally and professionally with a reputation for excellence for every aspect of what it creates and achieves.

From unique and exciting learning environments and relatively small class sizes and favourable student-to-staff ratio we are focussed on equipping students with hands-on practical experience teamed with an invaluable grounding in theory enabling students to graduate with a well-rounded skillset and smooth transition into work or further study.

Our highly qualifies teaching staff have unparalleled experience of working in elite sport and clinical practice, from Olympic Games to World Cups, Premier League Football to Super League Rugby, and acute medical care to high performance rehabilitation. We have gathered together an exceptional faculty of practitioner scholars who not only produce leading research but continue to lead best practice in their fields.

Housed in our state-of-the-art sports science laboratories and rehabilitative clinics, we have built a centre of excellence for sports teaching with a range of courses that cater for all, from grass roots to elite sport and a specific research and applied practice emphasis on recovery strategies and rehabilitation in high-performance sport.
