Understanding & Recognising Sexual Harassment and Intimidation
Developed in collaboration with Women’s Aid, this module helps you understand the behaviours that constitute sexual harassment and intimidation as well as to better recognise instances occurring within gym, fitness and leisure facilities.
It walks through the various behaviours, the law surrounding this topic, ways you can be more approachable to help encourage incidents to be reported, as well as information to help you understand demographics affected more acutely by these incidents and why they might be less likely to report the incident.
This module is recommended to be paired with further training on how to respond to incidents of sexual harassment and intimidation within gym, fitness and leisure facilities. This can be found in the additional module in this collection entitled ‘Detecting Behaviours & Incidents and Knowing How to Respond’.
