Careers in Sport branding

CIMSPA is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Careers in Sport.

The MoU sets out a supportive working arrangement between the two organisations, with a shared goal to connect individuals exploring careers in the sector with high-quality education, training, and employment opportunities. The partnership aims to enhance event reach, strengthen the presence of CIMSPA partners, and inspire the next generation of the workforce through engaging and practical support.

Founded in 2008, Careers in Sport is committed to bridging the gap between education and employment by providing inspiration, information, and practical opportunities for those pursuing careers in the sport and physical activity industry.

Their wide range of services includes providing educational resources for schools and colleges and hosting live events that bring together employers, educators, and industry professionals to engage directly with students, graduates, and career changers.

Natasha Eason – Associate Director for Education and Career Development at CIMSPA, commented:

“The MoU is fantastic for us to highlight the areas where we can work together on and complement each other’s work. There are so many collaboration opportunities, especially around career pathways, events and supporting Careers in Sport members with information and guidance on professional recognition and professional status.

“We’ve also just recently launched our Careers Hub which offers guidance and resources for anyone interested in pursuing or developing their career in the sport and physical activity sector, so there’s lots of crossover in what we do and we want to be able to maximise that.”

Harvey Grout, Careers in Sport Founder & CEO, added:

“We’re delighted to partner with CIMSPA to strengthen the pathways into the sport and physical activity sector. At Careers in Sport, our mission has always been to connect aspiring professionals with the opportunities, skills, and inspiration they need to succeed. By working with CIMSPA, we can amplify this impact and ensure that more people — from students to career changers — have access to the guidance and professional recognition that will help them thrive.”
