Your chartered status
You will be awarded the status of Chartered High-Performance Coach – MCIMSPA (Chartered)
To be eligible to apply you must meet the below criteria:
- Hold a qualification which is mapped to the Professional Standard for Coaching in a High- Performance Environment
OR
- Provide a Letter of Endorsement signed by a recognised National Governing Body (NGB), Sporting Governing Body (SGB) or CIMSPA Partner.
Chartered High Performance Coach is the highest level of professional recognition for you to strive for – the hallmark of a professional who has demonstrated excellence and impact.

Application process
Your chartered assessment will encompass three separate units, and will take you approximately six months to complete, with assessments undertaken every two months.
All units will be assessed by an industry expert assessor and internally verified to ensure standards are adhered to.
For each unit, there is one assessment, and you can select either a presentation or professional discussion.
You will develop a portfolio of evidence which will be used to support your assessments. Examples of evidence are detailed in the Candidate Guide provided to you following a discussion with our Chartered Membership Lead.

Your assessor will arrange convenient dates with you for each professional discussion, to ensure you proceed at a pace that suits you.

You will be awarded MCIMSPA (Chartered) or for Chartered Fellow, FCIMSPA (Chartered).
