Starting her career in the fitness industry, Bushra Ali has worked across a range of roles including personal training, group exercise instruction, and behaviour change coaching, giving her deep insight into the needs of both individuals and the wider workforce.
With over a decade of experience supporting diverse populations, she has developed strong expertise in physical activity, health promotion, and inclusive wellbeing. Bushra received recognition as Runner-up in the REPs UAE ‘Transformation Coach of the Year’ category, highlighting her impact on client outcomes. When REPs UAE introduced the Advanced Exercise and Health Specialist category, she was among the first professionals to be recognised — a reflection of her early adoption of evidence-informed approaches for complex health needs.
Now based in the UK, Bushra is a Chartered Health and Activity Practitioner (MCIMSPA Ch) and a doctoral researcher. Her current work is grounded in research that explores health behaviour, professional practice, and public health promotion. She brings a pracademic lens to her work, combining lived industry experience with academic insight.
Although fully immersed in research at present, Bushra remains closely engaged with the UK’s health and activity landscape. She is passionate about advancing professional standards, inclusive education, and prevention-focused strategies that align with national priorities in health and wellbeing.
She continues to advocate for sector-wide improvements in quality, representation, and workforce development, with a strong interest in future roles across public health, policy, and community impact.
