Dr Punam Krishan is a practising NHS GP and media medic based in Glasgow, Scotland. Currently, Dr Punam is a resident GP’s on the popular BBC daytime show ‘Morning Live’.
As a mother to two young children, she has a specialist interest in maternal and family health as well as mental health. A keen writer, she has authored three children’s books: “How to be a doctor and other life-saving jobs” , ‘You and Your Body’ and most recently The Superhero’s First Aid Manual.
Punam identifies as being Scottish-Indian and is always keen to bring both elements of her vibrant cultures to the scene. Competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2024, Punam performed a vibrant traditional Bollywood routine that the BBC celebrated as a “huge moment” for representation, inspiring others in the Indian community to embrace their culture.
