Sport for Confidence

Main stage panellist

Sport for Confidence is a pioneering Community Interest Company that embeds occupational therapists into community systems to address inequalities in access to physical activity and sport. At the heart of Lyndsey’s work is a strong focus on prevention and using meaningful, personalised physical activity to support health, wellbeing, and reduce reliance on traditional services.

Co-founding the organisation in 2015, Lyndsey leads with a person-first, occupation-focused, and systems-driven approach-working across health, social care, and physical activity sectors to create inclusive, empowering opportunities for people furthest from participation.

Her work brings together occupational therapy, the physical activity workforce, and lived experience to shape environments that promote autonomy, connection, and occupational justice.

Sport for Confidence delivers place-based and national programmes, supported by partners including Sport England, and is recognised for delivering meaningful, preventative impact across communities.

Lyndsey is a passionate advocate for compassionate leadership, coproduction, and belonging- ensuring physical activity becomes a tool for prevention, purpose, and lifelong wellbeing.
