Martin Steer remembered

CIMSPA is today marking the passing of Martin Steer, who for a decade was education and training manager for ISRM, one of the two institutes which formed IMSPA in 2011.

Martin passed away on Friday 9 September 2016, a week after his 60th birthday, after a short illness.

Martin worked for ISRM during a period of great change for the institute, as professional bodies adopted the ideas of accrediting prior learning and qualifications, and he also worked on the development and modernisation of the organisation’s qualifications. After leaving ISRM he joined the ASA as a facilities consultant, and also worked as a teacher in adult education.

He was a keen sportsman and touring cyclist, and will be remembered as a generous and positive person by all those who knew him.

Arrangements for the funeral are as follows:

Friday 23 September, 2.30pm at Loughborough Crematorium, Leicester Rd, Loughborough LE11 2AF.
