Professional Standards consultation for Working with People with Long Term Medical Conditions now open

The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) has today started an open consultation on a forthcoming sector Professional Standard for Working with People with Long Term Medical Conditions (LTMC).

CIMSPA is calling on organisations and individuals to offer general feedback on the standard’s content.

The rollout of the finished standard will take place later this year. Employers will then have a single point of reference to standardise the recruitment, training and professional development of this kind of specialist role.

The draft Working with people with LTMC CIMSPA Professional Standard can be downloaded at the link below. The same link is also the gateway into the consultation questionnaire.

Consultation now closed

The consultation will be open until Friday 7 September.

Alternatively, we are running three listening consultations for this Professional Standard. These will consist of a short webinar style presentation before we open the floor for your feedback and any questions. The listening sessions will be held on:

Friday 24th of August: 12.45 - 13.30

Friday 31st of August: 08.00 - 08.45

Thursday 6th of September: 17.00 - 17.45

To book a place please contact Natasha Eason via the contact details below.

We’d encourage everybody to contribute to the consultation by using the survey link provided, even if you attend a listening session, so that we can collect as much of your feedback as possible.
