CIMSPA professional standards recognition of prior learning (RPL)

The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector. CIMSPA is the guardian of a single professional standards framework which embeds the knowledge, skills, and behaviours for every job role in the sector. Several regulated qualifications and degrees are aligned to the professional standards which supports applications for CIMSPA membership.

Some practitioners in the industry have achieved qualifications which have not been mapped to the industry recognised professional standards. Others have a wealth of experience having operated in the industry for many years. To ensure that these learners are not disadvantaged this process is designed to enable learners to achieve the standards through a mapping exercise which must be supported by current valid evidence. CIMSPA Training Providers who have an Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) strategy and process are responsible for this process.

This process will have a cost due to review/assessment of your current evidence. Please discuss this with the provider.
