ukactive and CIMSPA celebrate excellence in skills and training as they reveal winners of Active Training Awards 2015

Over 200 delegates from the sector’s top training providers, employers, higher education providers and commercial vocational providers gathered together last night at the second annual Active Training Awards Ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow delivered by ukactive and CIMSPA, sponsored by Active IQ.

The Awards celebrate exceptional performance committed to vocational training and development within the physical activity sector.

After much anticipation and following three months of rigorous assessment, this year’s sector leading winners included Lifetime Training, GLL, Nuffield Health, Fusion Lifestyle, Jubilee Hall Trust, Gemma Quinnell, Schwinn Cycling and Richard Latham of Places for People Leisure across the ten categories.

All finalists demonstrated exceptional performance and commitment to vocational education, training and development across the physical activity sector, and to recognise this fierce commitment, three finalists received ‘Outstanding Achievement’ awards.

Primal Health Academy were recognised for their entry for Small Training Provider, the expert judging panel were blown away by their dedication to training professionals in local authorities, the fire service, and local colleges and universities.

HFE Training displayed a 97% positive response rate from their learners, a sign of true learner focus. YMCA Fit performed consistently across all stages of assessment, and being just pipped to the post in this incredibly highly contested category, were recognised for their entry to Large Training Provider of the Year.

These awards truly recognise value and professional development, showcasing innovate ways to help the sector thrive. All entrants will receive key feedback reports, so that entrants can benchmark against the best in the sector.
