CIMSPA featured in latest Clore Leadership Foundation research

The Clore Leadership Programme, an initiative of the Clore Duffield Foundation, a leading culture and society charity, has just published its latest research report: “Playing in the same team for a healthy active society.”

The report, authored by Clore leadership fellow Gareth Dix, examines how, although public leisure, sport and physical activity are critical contributors to a healthy active nation, the sector still faces challenging times in a climate of austerity.

The research is structured around 15 in-depth interviews with national strategists, local council leaders, a commissioner, public leisure CEOs, academics and practitioners.

One of the interviewees is CIMSPA CEO Tara Dillon, whose interview covers developing a credible physical activity workforce, cohesive working between stakeholders, the current financial climate and inequalities in public sport and leisure provision.
