CIMSPA wellbeing lead invited to Mind webinar

Ben Hulson MCIMSPA will be talking about CIMSPA’s wellbeing initiatives.

On 9 March, Ben, Regional Partnerships Manager and Wellbeing Lead at CIMSPA, will be joining Mind for their ‘The role of mental health champions and how to create your own scheme’ webinar.

He will cover his work on CIMSPA’s wellbeing committee – which runs regular events for the team – and will talk about wellbeing leadership within sport and physical activity.

CIMSPA is encouraging all its members and partners to sign up for the hour-long webinar next Wednesday.

Commenting on the opportunity, Ben said: “It’s a great honour to be invited along to this webinar with Mind to share the fantastic work that CIMSPA’s wellbeing champions have undertook over the last couple of years. This webinar provides an opportunity for organisations in sport and physical activity to share best practice around supporting their workforce’s wellbeing, alongside other champion schemes, moving mental health support high on the agenda.” This webinar will explore how organisations, clubs and groups can introduce mental health champions into their activities.

Mind delivers webinars to support organisations and professionals within sport, physical activity and mental health.

These are part of their Sector Support programme which is funded and supported by Sport England and the National Lottery.

The aim of this webinar is to upskill attendees to better understand what a mental health champion is and the benefit it could serve to your organisation/club/group.

By attending this webinar, you will:

  • Have a greater understanding of what a champion is and the benefit that they could serve to your organisation, club or group
  • Have a better knowledge of the differences between workplace and community mental health champions
  • Know the process required to create your own scheme
  • Be aware of the help and support available in your Mental Health Champions journey.

The webinar will take place from 1.30pm-2.30pm on Zoom.
