CIMSPA is the lead organisation for the workforce in the sport and physical activity sector and we are here to support our members, education and employer partners and the wider sector. This include our education and training policies, guidance and other resources.

Policies and strategies

CIMSPA members are required to complete continuing professional development (CPD) each membership year to maintain their status within a recognised and respected profession.

CIMSPA supports our members by providing a clear CPD policy and SkillGate.

This strategy explains CIMSPA’s approach to managing and monitoring its education partners, and their endorsed products and services through quality assurance.

This Policy explains CIMSPA’s approach to managing the termination of CIMSPA Education Partnerships and withdrawal of associated CIMSPA endorsed education products.

Guidance

This guidance document is designed to assist CIMSPA Education Partners in the development of education products where they intend to submit for endorsement against CIMSPA professional standards, and to maximise their chances of meeting CIMSPA endorsement requirements.

It is designed to complement existing guidance on framework levels and descriptors, in addition to representing sector employer “asks” in terms of skills, knowledge and behaviours as defined within CIMSPA’s membership categories for the workforce.

Position statements

A position statement from the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity, the Tai Chi & Qigong Union for Great Britain (TCUGB) and the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA).
