This partnership underscores Herts’ commitment to supporting its colleagues in becoming valued, respected, and recognised professionals within the sport and physical activity industry. It also marks the continuation of our journey to benefit all employees and participants within Hertfordshire through the work of our Local Delivery team in the region.

“As partners of CIMSPA, the Partnership will be part of our Chartered Institute’s network, representing employers working in sport and physical activity and giving their employees confidence that they have the support needed to excel.”
Partnership Director of HSP, John O’Callaghan, emphasised their aspiration to set a new standard for the industry, saying, “HSP aims to be a beacon of excellence for the sector, and membership of CIMSPA will empower our team to develop their careers from entry to executive levels through clear pathways.
“Moreover, our team will gain access to accredited, high-quality training and development opportunities via the CIMSPA Learning Academy portal and courses.”
John continued, “At HSP, we are resolute in creating a diverse, inclusive, and ‘fit for purpose’ workforce comprising volunteers and paid employees. This ambition remains a fundamental pillar of the Partnership’s ongoing strategic plan.”
By aligning themselves with CIMSPA, Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership has reconfirmed their dedication to professional growth for their colleagues, to help them enhance their standing within the industry. This partnership signifies their commitment to cultivating an ecosystem that values excellence, inclusivity, and ambition.
As an employer partner, the Herts Active Partnership have joined our growing partnership network, and will benefit from all of the opportunities that come with it. This includes joining the CIMSPA partnership directory, the sector’s only professional directory. In addition, they now have access to job posting on the CIMSPA Jobs Board, the best way for CIMSPA recognised, quality employers to find qualified and skilled staff members. Their staff will also benefit with their CIMSPA membership entitling them to a host of benefits to help them grow their careers, with free online learning from the CIMSPA Academy [mentioned Academy above - duplication], discounts on a range of tools and services and exclusive access to events and networking opportunities.
This is only the start of our work together as we look forward to having more opportunities to support their organisation and the county as a whole, in promoting long-term engagement with sport and physical activity for the communities they serve.
