Where are you heading this summer? Maybe our handy tool can help you decide... from water sport access to green space – we have crunched the numbers to find the very best places in England for an active summer.
Search by county across certified water sport workforce per capita, number of water sport attractions per capita, swimming pools per capita, physical activity rates and greenspace coverage. We’ve covered all bases to make sure there is something for everyone!

Ranking in second place for summertime activity is Devon.
Surrey ranks in third place, with the highest green space coverage in the country.
Cornwall comes in fourth, with the most water sports facilities per 100,000 people in the country, along with some of the highest number of swimming pools and water sports professionals.
