CIMSPA signs up to the Business In The Community Race at Work Charter
CIMSPA has become one of the latest signatories to the Business In The Community Race at Work Charter.
The Race At Work Charter asks organisations to make a public commitment to improving equality of opportunity in the workplace.
Kay Simnett, COO of CIMSPA said,
“We’re delighted to be a signatory to the Race at Work Charter and to be continuing our commitment to improving equality of opportunity for all employees.
The Charter sets out actions that organisations should take to improve equality and becoming a signatory underpins the work that we have been doing at CIMSPA for some time.
The Charter has seven actions including a board level commitment to zero tolerance of harassment and bullying, taking action that supports ethnically diverse employee career progression, and making equity, diversity and inclusion the responsibility of all leaders and managers.
As well as our own commitment to the Charter, as a professional body we also look forward to highlighting the benefits of being a signatory to our partners across the sector.
Highlighting our work and supporting our partners in this area is a key element of our core purpose of shaping a recognised, valued and inclusive sport and physical activity sector that everyone can be part of.”
