Six coaches awarded Chartered High Performance Coach status as part of Pilot
In the spring of 2023, CIMSPA awarded Chartered status to six High Performance Coaches who successfully completed the Chartered High Performance Coach Pilot programme.
This prestigious designation acknowledges the exceptional quality and elevated level of expertise in planning and delivering services within the high-performance environment, while also honouring accomplishments and contributions to the sport and physical activity industry.
The Chartered High Performance Coach status was formed following recommendations by the Professional Development Committee for High Performance Sport.
This also coincided with the committee’s work in developing the ‘Coaching in High Performance Sport’ Professional Standard, which sets out the minimum standard for an individual to work in a high performance environment.
As part of the programme, we acknowledge the evidence candidates may generate during existing high performance coaching programmes with other sector organisations, aiding applicants in achieving this professional status.
