Coming Soon - The Training Academy for Sport and Physical Activity

Launching later this month, the Training Academy for Sport and Physical Activity Progression by CIMSPA will be your primary destination to identify and access quality-assured training that supports your career progression.

The online platform will ensure that the right training for you is being delivered in the right place by the right people and supporting the ever-evolving learning experience for all sport and physical activity professionals as well as those wanting to enter the sector.

CIMSPA education partners who have been identified as three-star quality assured, or ‘Enhancing’, through our Quality Assurance framework, will form the base of the Training Academy, meaning that you can have full confidence in the provision made available to you, whether your career is on an academic, standalone or work-based pathway. 

Alongside quality assurance, the Training Academy will efficiently manage sector supply by utilising CIMSPA’s local skills data collection, as well as local skills plans created by our Local Skills Accountability Boards to understand employer training needs for different areas of the country, helping to lower costs for employers and learners.

Phase 1 of the Training Academy will comprise of one recommended training course for 13 different geographical areas, as well as eight nationally recommended courses. Once established, the platform’s training offering will continue to grow, based on demand from both learners and employers.
