Introducing Local Links: Midlands
In our latest Local Links conversations, we focus on the Midlands with Minal Hawkins, Skills Hub Manager for Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, and Matt Hammett, Skills Hub Manager for Birmingham, the Black Country and Coventry and Warwickshire.
Minal and Matt discuss the work going on in their areas including developments within their local skills accountability boards (LSABs) and how education providers are developing their curriculum to meet local employer needs.
They also discuss skills diagnostics and how soft or power skills are the foundation for a great career in the sector.
Local Links, showcases the work that CIMSPA has been doing over the last year, developing partnerships between employers, education providers, local authorities, health commissioners, employment support agencies, active partnerships and community groups, to work collaborative to address skills gaps, economic growth objectives, and health and wellbeing priorities, on a local level.
