Sport England appoints Hanna as CFO
Lizzie Hanna has been appointed Sport England’s new chief financial officer in the newly restructured Executive Leadership Board.
“This new role is set to play a key part in driving forward an organisation determined to tackle inequalities and unlock the advantages of sport and physical activity for everyone,” a Sport England statement said.
Hanna joins from the National Citizen Service Trust where she held responsibility for a full suite of corporate services including finance and commercial.
She brings a track record of financial and operational transformation and experience of working both in a range of government bodies and across a commercial portfolio of large complex blue-chip entities.
Hanna’s previous roles include finance director at London North Eastern Railway and non-executive director at Kettering General Hospital. She also spent five years at BT supporting governance, risk and operational change.
