Addressing emerging tech skills gap in sport and physical activity sector
New start-up Roster is delivering accredited content created and communicated by global subject specialists directly to learners in bite-sized chunks.
Alongside its on-demand suite of masterclasses, the start-up is also launching the world’s first Mini MBA in Web3 – a series of open-source and interconnected decentralized applications powered by blockchain.
Aimed at directors, senior executives and managers, this 10-week modular education package cuts through all the hype and jargon to deliver fundamentals and identify opportunities in this new digital era.
It has been co-founded by Ollie Bell, formerly commercial director at CIMSPA. Bell has created an entity that hand-holds individuals and organisations through the ever-evolving maze of emerging technologies to find the most direct route to success.
Launched with an impressive pre-seed valuation of £4m, Roster is already working with VaynerSports, a full-service sports agency. Representing athletes across the NFL, MLB, UFC, NIL, gaming and basketball, Roster will work with VaynerSports to create engaging academic material, contextualised to the sports industry, that can be dropped into sport and fitness focused degrees.
Work is also underway to mirror this to enhance the education offer in the UK.
