UK Coaching

In 2022, UK Coaching commissioned YouGov to undertake the largest ever survey into coaches and coaching, building on a previous survey conducted in 2019 and 2017. A nationally representative sample of over 50,000 adults and 2,000 children were surveyed about their experience of receiving coaching and their experience of being a coach. This report presents a summary of the key findings from the coach section of the survey. It includes coaches who have recently coached sport or physical activity and those who have coached at some point in the past.

Swimming Teachers Association / UK Active

ukactive partnered with the Swimming Teachers Association to produce insight on the views and attitudes around inclusion within the swimming teacher workforce. This report contains the survey findings of over 400 swimming teachers and an in-depth focus group to better understand the industry’s current position, and future direction of inclusion developments to ensure that learning to swim is accessible for all – a vital and potentially lifesaving skill to last a lifetime.
